SilverCreek Installation Guide

SegueSoft Inc. (SSI) has acquired all rights to SilverCreek, Maxwell Pro TCP/IP Tests, and the IWL MQTT Tests from InterWorking Labs, Inc. (IWL).
This document references content originally developed by IWL, now authorized for SSI’s use under the acquisition agreement.

Thank you for your purchase of SilverCreek, the SNMP Test Suite.

Node-Locked License

Are you installing SilverCreek with a node-locked license? (Your SilverCreek license is tied to a single computer.)

Workgroup Floating License

Are you installing SilverCreek with a Workgroup floating license? (Your SilverCreek licenses are managed by a central server and shared among multiple computers.)

To run the SilverCreek application using a Workgroup floating license, you must install both the SilverCreek FortLM License Server and the SilverCreek client application separately.

The Workgroup license server can be installed on either a Linux or Windows computer.

SilverCreek clients can be deployed on both Linux and Windows platforms. Each client will check out a license from the license server, regardless of whether the server is running on a Linux or Windows system.

Dongle-Based License

Are you installing a dongle-based SilverCreek license on a Windows system? (A dongle is a USB device with special licensing code that allows SilverCreek to operate on a Windows system with the USB dongle installed.)
